Training of Montenegrin Armed Forces personnel at CBRN Centre

This week, the Serbian Armed Forces’ CBRN Defence Centre hosted a specialist training course for personnel of the Armed Forces of Montenegro, involving the use of highly toxic chemicals.
Under the expert guidance of CBRN Centre’s instructors, Montenegrin officers and soldiers spent five days practising the tactical procedures employed by CBRN personnel when operating in contaminated environments.

Practical training was conducted at the Ravnjak Training Area and in the specialized laboratories at the Car Lazar Barracks, which provide the necessary conditions for practising procedures and protective measures for chemical detection, decontamination of terrain and structures, and sampling of toxic chemicals.
By participating in this training course, CBRN specialists from the Armed Forces of Montenegro expanded their knowledge of toxic chemicals and protective measures, and gained practical skills required for operating in environments contaminated with these substances.

In addition to providing training for all categories of active-duty and reserve personnel of the Serbian Armed Forces, as well as representatives of specialized civilian institutions, the CBRN Defence Centre also delivers courses for members of foreign armed forces throughout the year. The strong international interest in training at the Centre is yet another testament to the expertise of its instructors and the quality of CBRN defence training within the Serbian Armed Forces.
