Specialized training of military service volunteers
Soldiers who started performing their military service in September this year, have begun their specialized training, preparing for their future military duties.
This training phase is being conducted at the Serbian Armed Forces’ specialized training centres and units. Intensive military training is underway at the Army Training Centre in Požarevac for infantry and artillery soldiers, as well as for engineers.Soldiers are currently training on military ranges in the vicinity of Požarevac and in specialist classrooms at the General Pavle Jurišić Šturm barracks. They are learning to use infantry fighting vehicles, artillery systems, mortars, and explosive ordnance, while also practicing defensive and offensive tactical procedures. The next step in their training is stationary camp, where, through exercises and firing practices, they will gain hands-on experience in conducting tactical actions on the battlefield and using branch-specific weapons.
This class’s specialized training ends at the end of November with an assessment of their proficiency in individual tasks execution, followed by collective training and active involvement in the daily operations of SAF units until the end of their military service.
The Army Training Centre conducts individual specialized training for military service volunteers, cadets, and reservists who have not completed military service with weapons. It also provides training for all categories of active-duty and reserve personnel across 53 specialties, including infantry, artillery, armoured units, and engineers, which makes it an important component in the training system of the Serbian Armed Forces.
