Visit by Chief of Hellenic National Defence General Staff

The Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, met today in Belgrade with the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, General Dimitrios Choupis.
The meeting focused on the most important aspects of bilateral military cooperation and opportunities for its further enhancement, with special reference to the regional and global security situation and its implications for equipping the armed forces and developing their capabilities.

During the conversation, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further developing and strengthening military-to-military cooperation, which reflects the traditionally friendly relations between Serbia and Greece, based on mutual trust, understanding, and respect for deep historical, cultural, and spiritual ties.
The two sides agreed that joint activities have been very successful, fully focused on building the capabilities and interoperability of units, and safeguarding regional peace and stability. Training, joint exercises, and exchanging experiences between the two countries’ air forces and special forces were highlighted as areas of mutual interest.

Earlier today, General Choupis was received by Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić. The Greek delegation will continue their visit by touring the cultural and historical sites in Serbia’s capital.
