1st Army Brigade conducts computer assisted exercise
Exercise Strike 2025 was conducted this week at the Simulation Training Centre by the command and units of the First Army Brigade. The personnel practised the planning and execution of combat actions in Serbian Armed Forces operations.
Over several days, and in line with the exercise scenario, participants practised and assessed tactical actions and staff procedures in the execution phase of operations, while also analysing the decision making process at all levels of command. Also assessed was the knowledge of the principles of engagement of units and weapons, as well as coordinated action and cooperation with the units of the Gendarmerie of the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Serbia.
Through the preparation and execution of the scenario and a list of key events, the exercise directing staff enabled the staff officers to apply their knowledge and creativity during the exercise, with the goal of effectively employing units in various tactical situations.Computer assisted exercises represent an important form of practical training conducted within the Serbian Armed Forces, as they provide staff officers and commands with an opportunity to prepare for the planning and execution of combat operations, using minimal material resources.
