Minister Gašić inspects construction of new facility for Kobre MP Detachment
Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić visited today a construction site at the Vasa Čarapić barracks in Belgrade, where the construction of a new accommodation and training facility for the Special Purpose Military Police Detachment “Kobre” is underway.
During the visit, the Minister of Defence emphasized that the project is yet another demonstration of the commitment of the state and the Ministry of Defence to improving the living and working conditions for the members of the Serbian Armed Forces.
- In August last year, in the presence of the President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, the foundation stone was laid for the construction of a new building for members of the Kobre Detachment. The new facility, featuring modern amenities for training, work, and recovery, will serve as a model for how we want every part of our defence system to look – modern, functional, and tailored to the needs of the people who carry out the most complex tasks each day. The Ministry of Defence will continue investing in infrastructure, equipment, and better living and working standards for members of the Serbian Armed Forces – said Minister Gašić, and thanked everyone involved in the construction of this building.
During his visit to the construction site at the Vasa Čarapić barracks, the Minister of Defence was accompanied by Acting Assistant Minister for Infrastructure and Hospitality Services Boriša Roljić, Head of the Office of the Minister of Defence Colonel Nikola Matović, and the Commander of the Special Purpose Military Police Detachment “Kobre”, Colonel Darko Đošić.
The new modern facility, featuring dedicated areas for physical and tactical training, will greatly improve the living, working, and training conditions for the Detachment’s personnel.
