New soldiers training in SAF units

Infantry battalions of the 2nd Army Brigade are currently conducting additional training to further develop the skills of professional soldiers who have recently taken up their posts within these units.
The young soldiers are currently training at peacetime locations to prepare for their entry-level duties in their assigned positions. They are developing the knowledge and skills necessary for the effective combat use of critical weapons, as well as for carrying out tactical and fire missions on the battlefield.

In line with the training plan, the soldiers have already successfully completed individual training, and during this phase, they are practising battlefield tactics and procedures within their squads. The emphasis is on joint tactical exercises in carrying out anti-infantry and anti-armour operations.
The training employs modern weapons and military equipment - Lazar 3 armoured combat vehicles, direct-fire support weapons, reconnaissance and data-collection equipment, and a wide range of small arms – which the Serbian Armed Forces’ infantry units have received in recent years, and which have significantly improved their firepower, manoeuvrability, and force protection capability.

The additional training programme is mandatory for all professional soldiers upon their assignment to the units and it ensures they quickly meet the required psychophysical, marksmanship, and tactical standards to be able to carry out tasks on the battlefield both individually and as part of a crew or team.
