Tank and mechanized units of the Serbian Armed Forces’ 4th Army Brigade have conducted several days of tactical training, including live-fire exercises, at the Pasuljanske Livade Training Ground. During the field training, the units practiced offensive tactics employed by Serbian Armed Forces in operations, with a focus on rapidly and forcefully penetrating enemy defence and engaging targets while on the move. The effectiveness demonstrated by the units in executing tactical manoeuvres and the accuracy of their fire, confirmed the high level of competence among the soldiers, NCOs, and officers of the 4th Army Brigade.
An important part of the training was additional instruction given to young soldiers who had successfully completed the selection process for admission to tank and mechanized battalions. Simultaneously, the unit’s ability to operate in field conditions was evaluated, from setting up camp facilities, establishing a command post and telecommunications, to providing proper accommodation and meals for the deployed personnel.
The successful execution of these training activities marked the completion of the summer training cycle for tank and mechanized units, during which their ability to conduct combat operations, both independently and in coordination with other units, was further strengthened. A public recruitment call is currently open to fill positions in these units, which serve as the main manoeuvring force in Army operations. Young men and women interested in a well-paid and dynamic career operating modern and upgraded military equipment, regardless of whether they have completed military service with arms, can apply until November 15.
