Condolence telegram from Minister of Defence on passing of General Pavković
Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić has sent a telegram of condolence to the family of the late General Pavković, former Chief of the General Staff of the Yugoslav Army. The telegram reads:
“It was with great sadness that I received the news of the passing of General Nebojša Pavković. His dedication to military service and the defence of our homeland has left an indelible mark on the history of our country.
The general’s loyalty and demonstrated courage in the most difficult times will stand as an example of what it means to love and defend Serbia. He will be remembered as a symbol of determination, a man who refused to back down, no matter the force he faced, and who remained true to his military oath.
On behalf of the Ministry of Defence and myself, I extend my heartfelt condolences. Serbia has lost a great man today.
Eternal glory and gratitude to him.”
