Staff officer training for operational roles



The Operations Department (J-3) of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff has conducted a two-week training course for operational personnel within the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces.
This type of training is conducted annually with the aim of strengthening the skills of Serbian Armed Forces personnel for a wide range of staff duties in operational roles across commands, units, and military institutions.

Through a combination of theoretical and practical lessons, staff officers gained new knowledge in the following areas: operational planning, military decision-making process, establishing readiness and security measures, planning and conducting inspections, as well as performing analyses and keeping operational records within the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces.

Courses like this improve staff officers’ skills in performing operational duties that are essential for the effective functioning of commands, units, and institutions within the Serbian Armed Forces.
