126th ASEWG Brigade Day marked



A military ceremony was held today at the Banjica Barracks in Belgrade to mark 126th ASEWG Brigade Day, which commemorates October 12, 1992, the day this unit was officially established.
As part of the ceremony, a parade featuring the brigade's units and a static display of weapons and military equipment were held, an overview of the brigade’s key achievements in strengthening operational capabilities was presented, and awards were given to the most distinguished individuals. Wreaths were laid at the memorial located within the barracks, dedicated to those killed during the 1999 NATO aggression.

The overview of the unit’s performance over the past year highlighted the professionalism and expertise of the brigade’s personnel, continued efforts to equip the unit with state-of-the-art radars, as well as the introduction of a new air situation processing and display system with automatic control capabilities, meeting the highest airspace surveillance and control standards in the Republic of Serbia.
The ceremony was attended by Air Force and Air Defence Commander, Major General Brane Krnjajić, representatives of Serbian Armed Forces units, officials from local government bodies and partner institutions, and numerous other guests.
