Members of Italian Armed Forces undergo training at CBRN Centre

A specialist training course for members of the Italian Armed Forces has been conducted at the CBRN Training Centre in Kruševac. The training focused on operations involving working with live toxic chemical agents.
This was the first training of this kind for Italian CBRN specialists. Conducted under the expert supervision of certified SAF instructors, the course aimed to enhance the Italian personnel’s knowledge of toxic chemicals and protective measures, as well as to develop their practical skills for operating in contaminated environments.

The five-day training program included both theoretical and practical instruction carried out at the Ravnjak training area and in specialized laboratories at the Car Lazar barracks. It focused on the execution of actions and procedures during reconnaissance of contaminated areas, chemical detection, decontamination of terrain and facilities, toxic chemical sampling, and the provision of medical assistance in cases of exposure to highly toxic substances.
The training of the Italian Armed Forces personnel at the CBRN Training Centre reaffirms the expertise of our instructors and the high quality of CBRN training provided at the Serbian Armed Forces, while also acting as a strong incentive for further development of bilateral military cooperation between the two countries.
