Meeting with Commander of Allied Joint Force Command Naples

Today, the Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, received U.S. Admiral Stewart Munsch, Chief of the Allied Joint Force Command, Naples (JFC Naples), who is paying a farewell visit to the Republic of Serbia.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the results of cooperation between the Serbian Armed Forces and JFC Naples under Admiral Munsch’s leadership, and exchanged views on current regional and global security challenges. A significant portion of the conversation was dedicated to the security situation in Kosovo and Metohija, given that the international security force deployed in the province operates under the command of JFC Naples.

The two sides acknowledged that cooperation so far has been constructive, contributing to the development of armed forces’ capabilities and the preservation of peace and stability in the region. It was also noted that the established mechanisms allow for continued cooperation, while fully respecting the Republic of Serbia’s military neutrality. Maintaining direct, high-level communication was also underscored as a key factor in preventing potential crises, maintaining security in Kosovo and Metohija, and safeguarding regional peace.
General Mojsilović thanked Admiral Munsch for being professional and cooperative during his term as commander of JFC Naples and wished him success in all his future endeavours. He also expressed his expectation that he would have direct and open communication with Admiral Munsch’s successor in the role.

Earlier today, Admiral Munsch also met with Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić as part of his farewell tour.
