Assistant Minister participates in CEDC + ministerial meeting

Assistant Minister for Defence Policy Predrag Bandić took part in a defence ministerial meeting, held in Bratislava as part of the Central European Defence Cooperation (CEDC) initiative. In addition to permanent initiative members, the meeting also included representatives of Western Balkan countries.
The Central European Defence Cooperation serves as a platform for cooperation among six Central European countries: Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Austria, Slovenia, and Croatia, while Poland holds observer status. Its primary goal is to identify potential areas for cooperation in strengthening defence system capabilities, as well as to coordinate positions on certain defence policy matters and planning among member states.

The meeting was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the Slovak Republic Robert Kaliňák, who hosted the event. Participants exchanged views on the current global security situation, focusing particularly on national defence priorities in the fields of defence industry and human resources.
