Ministry of Defence signs contracts with Serbian Defence Industry companies
Today, Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić attended the signing of contracts at the 12th International Armament and Military Equipment Exhibition Partner 2025. The event included the signing of contracts that are part of the third investment cycle aimed at expanding the production capacities of companies within the Serbian Defence Industry Group, as well as contracts for equipping units of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces with state-of-the-art weapons and military equipment. Assistant Minister for Material Resources Nenad Miloradović, Ph.D. was also in attendance at the signing ceremony held at the Belgrade Fair.

- Along with enhancing the capabilities of Serbia’s defence industry factories and overhaul facilities for producing new weapons and military equipment and refurbishing and modernizing the existing ones, we are creating conditions for the successful manufacturing of priority products that are important for the development and modernization of the Serbian Armed Forces, in line with the directives of the President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić – said the Minister of Defence.

- Compared to the period between 2001 and 2012, we can proudly say that the volume of contracts has increased 15.5 times. This is best illustrated by arrays of modern, sophisticated weapons systems our citizens had the chance to see at the Power of Unity military parade, Minister Gašić said. He also expressed gratitude to the directors of the signatory factories, adding that he expects their continued commitment to fulfilling contractual obligations and meeting the planned goals for equipping the Serbian Armed Forces.

These contracts were signed on behalf of the Ministry of Defence by Colonel Jovanović from the Procurement and Sales Department, Colonel Ivan Pokrajac, Director of the Military Technical Institute, and a representative of Jugoimport-SDPR.
