Defense managment course starts in Kovacica



A two-week seminar started today in Kovacica under the title “defense management in the wider security context” under the organization of the Institute for Strategic Research of the defense Policy Sector and in cooperation with Cranfiled University and the UK Defense Academy.

Acting Director of the Institute dr Jovanka Saranovic, in her opening address, stressed that the course was directed at expanding knowledge and gaining new skills in defense management, while thanking the UK MoD and the DA of this country Colonel Nigel Fenn for their support in organizing this course.

The British DA Colonel Fenn in presenting the program of future coop3eration in this area, said that education was one of the key words when it comes to the bilateral cooperation of UK and Serbia.

The director of the course dr Laura Cleary presented the program which has been implemented for eight years in many countries and serves as an opportunity for both lecturers and listeners to learn from each other.

This is the third time that this course has been organized in Serbia, where the attendees of the course as well as lecturers will be able to participate in the workshops of renowned lecturers from Cranfield University and the British Defense Academy.
The course is held in accordance with the bilateral military cooperation plan between Serbia and UK.
