Council for Cooperation between Republic of Serbia and Republika Srpska convenes

Today, President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić chaired a session in extended format of the Council for Cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and Republika Srpska, held at the Palace of Serbia. The session was attended by Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić.
The session was attended by the speakers of the national assemblies and the prime ministers of Serbia and Republika Srpska, along with several of the two governments’ ministers and the Serb member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Following the meeting of the Serbia-Republika Srpska Cooperation Council, President Vučić congratulated all participants in the Power of Unity military parade, commending their outstanding training, preparation and coordination.
- I want to thank them for showing just how much progress they have made and how much they have achieved in recent period. I also want to express my gratitude to our friends from the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Prince Nasser, said the President of the Republic. He added that many distinguished guests from Cyprus, Hungary, Azerbaijan, France, China, and other countries had the opportunity to witness the strength and power of Serbia, and to understand the importance of maintaining a deterrent against any potential attack or act of aggression against our country.

According to him, today’s parade showcased everything that has been achieved over the past 14 years and highlighted the considerable investment of money, effort, energy, and determination.
- Fourteen years ago, we had only one fighter jet that was able to fly, and it ran out of service just a year later. Today, our military looks literally “out of this world” compared to what we had back then, and that’s thanks to the people of Serbia. I’m truly grateful to our nation and the citizens of Serbia – President Vučić said.
