Final rehearsals underway for Power of Unity Military Parade

Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić and the Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, observed today’s rehearsal conducted by Serbian Armed Forces personnel in preparation for the upcoming Power of Unity military parade, which is scheduled to take place on September 20, starting at 11 A.M, in New Belgrade.
Minister Gašić emphasized that the final phase of preparations, taking place near the Palace of Serbia, is proceeding according to plan, and noted that the Serbian Armed Forces are demonstrating a high level of professionalism and dedication in order to present the strength and unity of our country with dignity at the upcoming military parade.

- I would like to thank all members of the Armed Forces for their hard work, dedication, and discipline in preparing for this event. It’s through their commitment and sacrifice that they continue to show why the Serbian Armed Forces are the true source of national pride. Our people have always placed great trust in our military, and it is precisely this unbreakable bond that makes us stronger and obliges us to ensure the military remains a lasting source of national pride, emphasized the Minister of Defence.
Earlier today, the Minister of Defence and the Chief of the General Staff observed a rehearsal at the Military Academy barracks in Banjica, where military school students were practising for their role in the Power of Unity parade, where they will carry a 300-metre-long flag of the Republic of Serbia.

On that occasion, Minister Gašić said that the Serbian flag is a symbol of our state, unity, freedom, and centuries-old traditions we uphold.
- When we see the 300-metre-long flag carried by students of our military schools during the Power of Unity military parade, it sends a powerful message – that new generations are proudly continuing the path of their ancestors. Today’s rehearsal is proof that we are ready to carry out the upcoming parade with dignity and to reaffirm that the Serbian flag, carried and defended by our soldiers, always flies high as a symbol of our unity, the Minister of Defence emphasized.
On Saturday, September 20, citizens will have the opportunity to witness a parade featuring marching echelons from all branches and services of the Serbian Armed Forces, including Military Academy cadets, vehicle-mounted units, River Flotilla vessels, aircraft fly-overs, and a demonstration of select Serbian Armed Forces capabilities. In addition, members of the Guard will perform a ceremonial drill.
