Republic of Serbia for the first time at SEDM as a full member
The MoD delegation led by Milorad Peric, Head of the International Military Cooperation Department, took part in 23rd meeting of the South Eastern Defense Ministerial Cooperation Center, held on 15 September 2010 in Sofia, Bulgaria.This was the first time for MoD members to be part of this meeting after Serbia was accepted as a full member in this regional initiative.
All activities launched within the SEDM project were presented at the meeting, such as the simulation exercise project SEESIM, SEMEC-South Eastern Military Education Cooperation, defence support to WMD proliferation, cross border cooperation and countering terrorism, as well as the IMIHO, a telemedical project including the proposal for launching a new project South eastern Education and Training Network.Furthermore this was an opportunity to harmonize and agree on all activities regarding the ministerial conference to be held in Tirana next month.
