Flight training in helicopter squadron

Members of the 119th Mixed Helicopter Brigade are currently undergoing training on H-145 helicopters at the Sergeant-Pilot Mihajlo Petrović Military Airfield, and across the greater Niš area.
The flying activities conducted by the squadron are part of regular training for both aircrew and technical personnel. Their purpose is to improve the skill levels of unit members and ensure their readiness to carry out search and rescue, MEDEVAC and airlift missions, and to provide aerial fire support to SAF troops during operations.

In line with the established training plan, the personnel is practicing standard tactics, techniques and procedures for executing missions using multiple aircraft. The training places particular emphasis on formation take-offs and landings, as well as coordinated manoeuvres conducted by the helicopter squadron.
Concurrently with pilot training, technical personnel across all specialties are also practicing ground procedures on the apron, ensuring aircraft functionality and preparing them for flying in all-weather conditions.

Intensive training within the squadron will continue in the upcoming period, to further enhance the unit’s combat readiness and strengthen mutual trust between aircrew and technical personnel through close cooperation in the execution of mission-specific tasks.
