Minister Gašić meets with Chinese Ambassador Li Ming
Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić met today with the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Serbia, H.E. Li Ming, with whom he discussed cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, the two officials discussed the upcoming visit of a state delegation from the Republic of Serbia to the People’s Republic of China, where they will attend a military parade marking the victory in the Second World War in Asia.Minister Gašić emphasized that the personal relationship between the two leaders, President Aleksandar Vučić and President Xi Jinping, gives a distinctive character to traditionally friendly relations between the two countries, often referred to as a “steel friendship”.
The Minister of Defence emphasized the significance of strengthening defence cooperation, while remaining fully committed to fulfilling all mutual agreements and initiatives. He stressed that it is important for every segment of the partnership to yield concrete results that serve the mutual interests of both Serbia and China.At today’s meeting, Ambassador Li Ming thanked Minister Gašić for the opportunity to meet and have a conversation and underscored the significance of defence cooperation between the two countries, as well as their readiness to enhance cooperation at all levels.
