Minister Gašić meets with representatives of National Council of Roma National Minority
Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić held a meeting today with a delegation from the National Council of the Roma National Minority, led by Council President Dalibor Nakić.
During the meeting, the Minister of Defence emphasized that members of the Roma national community have always been highly dedicated and professional members of the Serbian Armed Forces, who have always served their homeland with distinction. He emphasized that the Roma people, like all other communities living in Serbia, have full and open access to the defence system. He added that, in cooperation with the Council, efforts will continue to provide clear and timely information regarding opportunities for joining professional military service and pursuing a career within the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces.
Minister Gašić expressed his gratitude to Council President Nakić for his readiness to engage in promoting military service among members of the Roma community.Nakić underscored the significance of today’s meeting for further promoting military service among members of the Roma national community and expressed his appreciation to the Minister of Defence for acknowledging the community’s contribution to the effective functioning of the defence system.
The meeting was attended by Acting Assistant Minister for Human Resources Siniša Radović and Deputy Chief of the Office of the Minister of Defence, Colonel Nikola Matović.
