Basic course on Tara for search and rescue services



Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense Zoran Jeftic, PhD, opened today a four-day Basic course for search and rescue coordinators in the Omorika hotel on Tara. The opening of the course was attended by Deputy Air Force commander Brig. Gen. Sreto Malinovic and the ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark Mete Kjuel Nielsen as well as the representatives of the army, of the Civil Aviation Directorate and of the Ministry of Interior Department for Emergency Situations.

Undersecretary extended special thanks o the representatives and instructors of the Danish air force for their help and support in organizing this important basic course as well as for their readiness to convey their knowledge and experiences to our joint emergency situation services.
Brig. Gen. Malinovic was also the one who addressed the speakers who on behalf of the air force of the Serbian armed forces reminded once again of the excellent cooperation between the Serbian and the Danish Royal air force.

The main aim of the course is to promote the importance of the search and rescue service and to open a discussion on the responsibility of joint services comprising the four aforementioned elements as an integrated national system. During this four-day course, the attendees of the course will be engaged in workshops, will listen to lectures hoping to gain necessary skills for coordinating and implementing practices and procedures in line with the international standards in the emergency response field.
