Regular training of Pantsir S-1 combat crews
Regular training is underway for professional personnel in a battalion of the 250th Air Defence Missile Brigade equipped with the Pantsir S-1 missile system. The training is focused on the execution of unit-specific tasks, with particular emphasis on the preparation and execution phases of air defence operations.
The purpose of the training is to refresh existing knowledge and further enhance the skills required for the effective and timely execution of tactical actions. Special emphasis is placed on the combat procedures carried out by the crews to ensure the successful engagement of aerial and ground targets under all operational conditions, and the selection of the optimal variant of combat use.As part of complex training activities, all phases of pre-firing and immediate firing preparations are practiced through simulations of real-world scenarios and electronic engagement of both actual and simulated targets. These drills enhance the accuracy of fire, reduce response time, and ensure synchronized operation across all components of the system.
During the preparation and execution of combat operations, replenishment of the Pantsir system’s combat load is a critical task. Accordingly, during the training phase, crews practice standardized procedures for loading missiles and artillery ammunition onto combat vehicles in accordance with established regulations.The Pantsir S-1 air defence artillery-missile system is designed to provide air defence for small military facilities, administrative centres and business facilities, and key areas or directions within national territory against aerial reconnaissance and attack. Its integration into the air defence system has significantly enhanced the firepower and manoeuvrability of the 250th Air Defence Missile Brigade, thereby strengthening the overall capability of the Serbian Armed Forces to secure and control the airspace of the Republic of Serbia.
