National Security Council meeting held
The President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, chaired a meeting of the National Security Council, held today at the General Secretariat of the President of the Republic of Serbia.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Defence, Bratislav Gašić, and the Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović.Following the meeting, President Vučić shared a message on his official Instagram account, stating:
- The Republic of Serbia, as the guarantor of the Dayton Agreement, will continue to insist on its full implementation and will reject any attempts to impose decisions outside the framework of international law. Our primary goal remains the preservation of Republika Srpska in accordance with the Dayton Agreement. We will employ all available diplomatic and political means to support Republika Srpska and its lawful and legitimate representatives.In our actions, we will consistently adhere to the following principles: we will oppose any attempts at the unitarisation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, we will advocate for the preservation of the territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, while fully respecting the competencies and the territorial integrity of Republika Srpska, and we will firmly oppose any imposed reorganisation of the internal structure of Bosnia and Herzegovina, including repressive measures targeting democratically elected representatives.
The Republic of Serbia stands firmly with Republika Srpska, upholding international law and justice. We remain committed to maintaining stability, recognizing it as an essential prerequisite for economic growth and overall social progress. The stability of the region is a vital national interest, and we believe the future of the Western Balkans lies in cooperation, healing divisions, and respecting the dignity and collective social, economic, cultural, and other rights of all those living here.We will do our utmost to provide support in all efforts that contribute to stabilisation and peace –President Vučić wrote in his message.
