Divine Hierarchical Liturgy and Prayer Service held to mark Cadets’ Graduation
To mark the graduation of the 145th and 146th classes of the Military Academy, as well as the 11th class of the Medical Faculty of the Military Medical Academy, a Divine Hierarchical Liturgy and prayer service were held today at the Church of Saint Sava. The Divine Hierarchical Liturgy was officiated by Bishop Nektarije of Great Britain and Ireland and Bishop Dositej of Lipljan, Vicar Bishop to the Serbian Patriarch and Military Bishop, in concelebration with military chaplains from the Belgrade Garrison and priests of the Church of Saint Sava. Following the Liturgy, the priest of the Church of Saint Sava, Protopresbyter Ivan Štrbački, conveyed Patriarch Porfirije’s blessings and congratulations to the cadets on their upcoming promotion to the initial officer rank. He wished them to be blessed and protected by God in the responsible, conscientious and righteous fulfilment of their duties. In addition to the cadets of the Military Academy and the Medical Faculty of the Military Medical Academy, the formal spiritual ceremony was attended by the Commandant of the Military Academy, Colonel Srđan Blagojević, Ph.D., and the Commander of the Cadet Brigade, Lieutenant Colonel Marko Marjanović.
