Chief of General Staff conducts visit to Army units
Over the past two days, Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, conducted a visit to Army units in the Raška garrison, as well as in the garrison towns of Novi Pazar and Požega.
During the visit, General Mojsilović carried out an inspection of the organization of daily operations and living conditions, assessed the current level of combat readiness, and reviewed the execution status of key tasks, including the progress of an ongoing infrastructure project, specifically the construction of soldier accommodation facilities.During the conversation with Army Commander Major General Zoran Nasković and commanders of tactical-level units, key topics included current security challenges, staffing levels of units and future plans aimed at enhancing the units’ ability to successfully execute assigned missions and tasks.
As part of his visit to this region, General Mojsilović also visited the Đurđevi Stupovi Monastery and conducted a field inspection of engineering units engaged in the reconstruction of macadam roads in the village of Crnčevo within the municipality of Sjenica. The road reconstruction project facilitates the supply and manoeuvre of Serbian Armed Forces units and other security elements operating in the area. Concurrently, the project helps the local community to improve living conditions for the local population by facilitating normal daily life. Through such efforts, the Serbian Armed Forces once again demonstrate their commitment to being in service to the citizens – at all times and in all locations across the country.At the conclusion of the visit, the Chief of the General Staff commended the professionalism and responsible conduct of SAF members, as well as their high level of training and morale, emphasizing that their competence and steadfast loyalty to the homeland – alongside the continuous equipping of the armed forces with state-of-the-art weaponry – represent the strongest guarantee of Serbia’s peace, stability and freedom.
The Chief of the General Staff was accompanied during the tour by Army Commander Major General Zoran Nasković, Head of the Logistics Department (J-4) Major General Saša Petrović and Head of the Human Resources Department (J-1) Brigadier General Slađan Hristov.
