Military service volunteers in specialized training
Training is underway at the Army Training Centre in Požarevac for soldiers who entered military service in June this year and were assigned to this Training Command unit after completing basic training. This training centre, which provides specialized training for dozens of military occupational specialties within infantry, artillery, engineer and armoured branches, is training soldiers for their specific roles within the military.
During the six-week training, they will be equipped with the knowledge and skills relevant to their respective MOS, such as the combat use of infantry armament, means of support, engineering equipment and artillery systems. The training is being conducted in specialized labs, on the training grounds within the base and in the field, and includes field exercises, practice with explosive ordnance and firing practice with weapons specific to each branch.
The training of this new group of soldiers ends at the end of August with an individual skills assessment, after which they will be sent for collective training and become actively involved in the life and work of the Serbian Armed Forces units until the end of their military service. Solders who want to become professional service members can apply for enlistment while still doing military service, after which they will go through admission procedure and become eligible to join the ranks of professional members of the Serbian Armed Forces upon completion of their military service.
