Admission of officers upon completion of Command and Staff Course
Officers who have completed the Command and Staff Course at the Field Marshal Radomir Putnik School of National Defence (71st graduating class) were assigned duties today at the commands, units and establishments of the Serbian Armed Forces. Over the past ten months, they studied the tactics, operational art, modern weapons systems and military equipment, command and control, logistics and security and intelligence structures of foreign armed forces in order to prepare for commanding units and working within the commands of the Serbian Armed Forces.
As professional officers who possess expert knowledge, skills, and leadership, analytical, and communication skills necessary for effective problem-solving and execution of tasks that fall within their scope of responsibility, they will be able to leave their mark in their daily work and contribute to the improvement of operational and functional capabilities. Top officers at the commands and units they have been assigned to welcomed them today, briefed them about the organization, missions and principal tasks of their units, congratulated them on successfully defending their theses and completing their training, and wished them a warm welcome and much success in their future work. The Command and Staff Course offered by the Defence University is a second-level special training programme for the Serbian Armed Forces officers, designed to train them to command tactical battalion-level units, perform staff duties in brigade-level commands and other duties in higher-level commands of the Serbian Armed Forces and organizational units of the Ministry of Defence.
