Serbian Armed Forces install Pontoon Bridge across the Velika Morava River
Members of pontoneer units of the Serbian Armed Forces completed the installation of a pontoon bridge across the Velika Morava River in the municipality of Svilajnac, in the immediate vicinity of the existing, main bridge on which traffic was suspended.

In a short period of time, a unit from the River Flotilla transported parts of the structure from its base in Šabac to Svilajnac and successfully established a crossing point over the river.
The bridge has been handed over to the Municipality of Svilajnac for use today. Passenger motor vehicles, motorcyclists and pedestrians will be able to cross it, while buses and freight vehicles will be directed to alternative routes. Members of the Serbian Armed Forces will take care of the maintenance of the bridge and its safety for as long as it is in operation.

By installing a pontoon bridge, members of the Serbian Armed Forces have enabled the residents of Svilajnac and the surrounding area to cross the Velika Morava River, thus once again demonstrating that they are always at the service of the citizens. The experience gained during the transportation of the structure along the river and the assembly of the bridge serves to improve the training level and ability to carry out the designated tasks of the pontoneer units of the Serbian Armed Forces.
In addition to this one on Velika Morava, a pontoon bridge from Zemun Quay to the Great War Island is currently in use, with which members of the Serbian Armed Forces bridged the Danube last week, thus making it easier for the citizens of Belgrade to get to Lido Beach.
