Press conference on occasion of the EMPA congress



On occasion of 31st congress of the European Military press Association (EMPA), theld in Belgrade from 08 to 12 September, the Head of the Public Relations Department Navy Captain Boskovic and the president of EMPA Colonel Jorg Aschenbrenner gave a press conference in the Central Military Club today.

Navy Captain Boskovic explained that the congress activities were such that they would depict Serbia, and the Serbian armed forces in the best possible light.

- At the briefings in SAF GS building we will present ht organization of our army, its mission and tasks and we will also demonstrate our readiness to participate in peace missions. We will furthermore, demonstrate the activities pertaining to preserving stability in Kosovo and forms of cooperation with KFOR. European Military Press Association members will also get acquainted with the achievements of the Military Medical Academy as the main bearer of our participation of our medical teams in Chad and Congo, while during the visit to the Parliament of Vojvodina, the results of a trilateral cooperation with Hungary, Romania in the defense from floods will be presented”, as Boskovic said.


The president of EMPA Colonel Jorg Aschenbrenner stated that pone of the EMPA goals is to promote the understanding of security politics of European countries and to get an insight into the armed forces, by organizing greater events.

- This year we placed stress on the region of South eastern Europe, while visiting Serbia and the Serbian Armed Forces during the times of transition, is of extreme importance for our organization. We will get acquainted with the reforms in the Serbian military, while hoping to engaging in very fruitful discussions. This will get a glimpse of the situation in your country, while we will provide support to your efforts in the field of military cooperation.
