Day of ‘Moma Stanojlović’ Aeronautical Plant
A military ceremony marking the Day of ‘Moma Stanojlović’ Aeronautical Plant was held at the premises of this military facility in Batajnica, today.

On the occasion of the holiday, a ceremony was held at the institution, the results of the previous year’s work were summarized, awards were presented to prominent individuals and a wreath was laid at the memorial to pilot Momčilo Moma Stanojlović, whose name the Institute proudly bears.
Reviewing the results achieved and the rich history of the Institute, the expertise and professionalism of the employees in the implementation of all projects and tasks were highlighted, as well as the adoption of new technologies that have significantly improved the process of overhaul and maintenance of Air Force and Air Defence assets.

Today’s ceremony was attended by the Chief of Staff of the Air Force and Air Defence Command, Colonel Dragan Mrdak, representatives of organisational units of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces, the City Municipality of Zemun and companies that have cooperation with this institution.
The Day of the ‘Moma Stanojlović’ Aeronautical Plant is marked on the 1st July in memory of the day when, in 1916, an airplane workshop was established at the Mikra Airport near Thessaloniki, whose tradition the Institute cherishes.
