Bilateral Defence Consultations with Bulgaria
A delegation of the Ministry of Defence, led by Mr Predrag Bandić, Acting Assistant Minister for Defence Policy, visited the Republic of Bulgaria for bilateral defence consultations at the political director level.
Deputy Minister of Defence Radostin Iliev discussed with the members of our delegation the most important issues of defence cooperation between the two ministries.

During the bilateral consultations, Assistant Minister Bandić and Brigadier General Lyubomir Monov, Director of the Defence Policy and Planning Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of Bulgaria, analysed the political and security situation in the region, as well as the results achieved so far and further directions for the development of cooperation in the field of defence.
Assistant Minister Bandić emphasised that the Serbian Ministry of Defence is committed to qualitative and quantitative enhancement of defence cooperation with Bulgaria, which is in their mutual interest. General Monov emphasised that defence cooperation is good, both at the bilateral level and in regional areas of cooperation.

The interlocutors agreed that the bilateral defence consultations contribute to strengthening the overall relations between the two countries, as well as the regional security. They also emphasised that this successful practice should be continued in the future, and agreed to have a meeting next year in Belgrade.
At the end of the meeting, they signed the Bilateral Military Cooperation Plan for 2025.
