Tactical Exercise Platinum Wolf 25

Multinational Tactical Exercise Platinum Wolf 25, organized by the Serbian Armed Forces with the support of the United States European Command (USEUCOM), started today at Base South near Bujanovac.
The exercise activities will take place until June 27, and their objective is to improve interoperability and mutual understanding between armed forces of partner countries by executing a peace support operation in a multinational environment.

The exercise involves more than 700 soldiers, including members of the Serbian Armed Forces and the armed forces of Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Italy, Hungary, Romania, North Macedonia, United States of America, Montenegro, United Kingdom and Northern Ireland and, for the first time, members of the international organization Balkan Medical Task Force, who will actively participate in the segments of the exercise involving medical assistance and medical evacuation in crisis situations.

Participants will spend the next two weeks in Base South, Borovac Training Area and Vrtogoš Range, practicing peacekeeping tactics, techniques and procedures. Securing the base and a convoy, patrolling, setting up blockades, area searches and urban warfare are only a part of the activities outlined in the exercise scenario.
Platinum Wolf exercises have been conducted in Serbia since 2014 and are important because they improve the Serbian Armed Forces’ ability to plan, organize and execute multinational exercises, as well as the readiness of SAF units to engage in peacekeeping operations.
