Minister Gašić visits MoD Centre in Kraljevo
During his visit to Kraljevo, Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić paid a visit to the Ministry of Defence Centre today, where he got acquainted with its operations and tasks.
The head of the Kraljevo-based MoD Centre, Major Slavoljub Milenković, briefed the Minister of Defence about the implementation of tasks relating to conscription, compulsory labour, requisition, defence planning, and coordination of civil defence and citizen training activities. During the visit, Minister Gašić gained an insight into the employees’ living and working conditions, as well as the degree to which organizational and infrastructure conditions for the activation of compulsory military service have been fulfilled. He emphasized the importance of cooperation with the local self-government for the efficient functioning of regional centres and the promotion of military profession in the community.
Minister Gašić was accompanied on his tour by acting Assistant Minister of Defence for Human Resources Siniša Radović, Second Army Brigade Commander Brigadier General Siniša Stašević, Head of the Regional MoD Centre Kragujevac Colonel Nebojša Nikolić and the Mayor of Kraljevo, Predrag Terzić.
