Minister of Defence meets with French Ambassador



Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić met today with the Ambassador of the French Republic, H.E. Pierre Cochard, with whom he discussed defence cooperation between Serbia and France.
During the meeting, it was stated that the cooperation is developed and based on a centuries-long friendship between the two countries’ armed forces.  

Equipping the Serbian Armed Forces with French-made weapons and military equipment, emphasized the Minister of Defence, provides a basis for further strengthening defence cooperation, so support that involves exchange of experiences and provision of training for members of the Serbian Armed Forces is expected from the French Armed Forces in the coming period.  
He said that in recent years there has been an upward trend in the number of joint activities carried out by the Ministry of Defence and the French side, and expressed his expectation that bilateral military cooperation will continue to develop.
Ambassador Cochard expressed his delight at the opportunity to meet with Minister Gašić and discuss topics related to defence.
