MoD and SAF members awarded U.S. medals



Medals were presented today at the U.S. Embassy to members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces for distinguishing themselves by meritorious achievement while studying and serving in the U.S.A. The ceremony was attended by the Head of the Operations Department, Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, Major General Gordan Pavlović.
A Joint Service Commendation Medal was awarded to Colonel Miroslav Zečević from the Development and Equipment Department, General Staff, for distinguishing himself by meritorious achievement while studying at the College of International Security Affairs (CISA), U.S. National Defense University, and a Medal for Meritorious Service was awarded to Lieutenant Colonel Dano Mavrak for distinguishing himself while serving as Assistant Defence Attaché of the Republic of Serbia.
The medals were presented to the distinguished members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces by Alexander Titolo, Chargé d’Affaires at the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade.

The reception was attended by members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces who over the past five years received training in the United States of America provided under the IMET program, members of the U.S. Defence Attaché Office and family members of the awarded service members.
