SAF members in helicopter exercise in Hungary
Members of the Serbian Armed Forces are taking part in FIRE BLADE 2025, an international helicopter exercise in the area surrounding Pápa Air Base in Hungary, starting today and lasting until May 30.

The exercise is designed to improve the interoperability among helicopter troops of the participating countries in planning and conducting joint multinational helicopter operations, in accordance with the joint European helicopter training programme tactics and procedures.
Besides members of the Serbian Armed Forces, who are using an H-145M and a Mi-17 helicopter for the exercise, other participants include members of the Austrian, Belgian, Hungarian, Slovakian, Slovenian and Swiss armed forces.
The scenario is designed in such a way to increase the dynamics of the training activities day by day, so that the most demanding joint operations such as providing close air support to army forces, CSAR, airlift and aeromedical evacuation could be conducted until the end of the exercise.
Participation in the work of the Multinational Helicopter Training Centre and its exercises helps helicopter crews of the Serbian Armed Forces to improve their skills and interoperability, as well as their ability to engage in helicopter operations in the contemporary operational environment.
