Specialized infantry and artillery soldiers’ training

Individual specialized skills training is underway at the Army Training Centre in Požarevac for military service volunteers, recruited to perform infantry and artillery jobs.
These soldiers started their military service in March this year and after completing their basic individual training, they were assigned to this Training Command Centre for their MOS training.

At this training phase, which lasts for six weeks and is being conducted at the training grounds of the General Pavle Jurišić Šturm Barracks near Požarevac and in specialized labs, the soldiers are undergoing training in the combat use of infantry weapons, mortar support assets and artillery systems and are practicing defensive and offensive tactics and procedures.

The soldiers’ specialized training ends in late May, with a test of individual skills, and is followed by collective training and their active involvement in the life and work of SAF units until the end of their military service.
The Army Training Centre provides individual specialized training for military service volunteers, cadets and reservists who did not complete military service with weapons, as well as for all categories of active duty and reserve personnel, offering training in 53 infantry, artillery, armoured and engineer specialties, which makes it a significant part of the training system of the Serbian Armed Forces.
