Specialized training for soldiers, future Air Force-Air Defence NCOs

Specialized training for military service volunteers (March 2025 class) and NCO Course participants (2nd class) is underway at the Air Force and Air Defence Training Centre located at the Colonel-Pilot Milenko Pavlović Military Airfield in Batajnica.
In accordance with their military occupational specialties, soldiers and future NCOs are receiving training at this Training Command centre for jobs they will be performing at the air defence artillery-missile units, ASEWG and aviation-technical services.

The training is being delivered in specially equipped labs, as well as on missile and radar-computer systems and aircraft themselves, providing the trainees with the best conditions possible for mastering the use and basic maintenance of these combat assets.
Captain Hristina Jovanović, platoon commander at a short-range air defence artillery-missile battery, AF and AD Training Centre, says that military service volunteers and NCO candidates are faced with intensive, progressive and rather demanding training.

— Military service volunteers are being trained on the 40 mm L-70 Bofors anti-aircraft gun, while the second class of NCO Course participants, who are currently attending the third training module, are receiving specialized training for jobs at air defence artillery-missile units and ASEWG and aviation-technical services — says Capt. Hristina Jovanović.
Stefan Milenković, a soldier training at the AF and AD Training Centre, says he is satisfied with his training and adds that he applied for military service because he wanted to continue his family tradition.

— The training is mostly practical, although we have theory classes as well. It is our honour to work with top instructors who are totally dedicated to training and do not deviate from a topic until we have mastered it completely — says Private Nedeljković.
Once they complete their NCO Course, the trainees will do internship at AF and AD units, while the soldiers will face a three-month collective training and be actively involved in the life and work of the Serbian Armed Forces units.
