Minister Sutanovac visits China
During his visit to China, Minister Sutanovac stated today that after signing a 500000 EUR worth donation agreement, both countries could say that there is a very solid and successful cooperation with room to improve the relations between the two countries.
Furthermore, as he stated there was talk about the cooperation of the defense industries of Serbia and China. There was room for developing armaments and weapons.
The delegation of the Ministry of Defense is the first among foreign delegations to have seen the maneuvers and capabilities of the Chinese multipurpose jet J-10 which was introduced several years ago.
We saw the Chinese jet J-10 as one of the top planes in the world. China has thus proved that it is capable of manufacturing the most sophisticated military equipment in the world that can be used in Serbia but also to offer it to other countries which have traditionally bought weapons from Serbia.
Soon, as he announced, four Serbian officer will leave for china where they will continue their studies while we will receive two Chinese officers in Belgrade, where they will attend the Command staff college and learn the Serbian language.
“It is a very important segment of our bilateral relations, bearing in mind that those who finish this school could later be regarded as ambassadors of their countries. The idea is to continue with this practice”.
Adding that Serbia can offer cooperation in the field of military education and Military Medical Academy while at the same time wishing to use the experiences China has in the field of peace operations. Sutanovac also expressed his wish for the Serbian army officers to visit the Chinese peace mission center.
We want to learn from them as there are a lot of Chinese members in peace missions. China is practically one of the countries which contribute to UN peace missions.
During the talks with Sutanovac, Liang gave a very positive assessment of the military relations of the two countries, reminding of frequent high-level visits and cooperation in various fields, as the main Chinese daily Jenmin Jibao states.
Liang thanked for Serbia’s commitment to China’s policy adding that this country was ready to make joint efforts to strengthen further development of bilateral strategic partnership.
Chinese Minister of Defense called upon both countries to continue with the strengthening of relations and to find new areas for cooperation.
Minister Sutanovac will visit the Academy for Special Units, and of the Special Units of the Armed Militia of the Chinese Army, followed by a trip to Shangai.
