The members of the 122nd slp garrison “GvozdiK’ within the First Army Brigade have been cherishing a long artillery tradition.
We visited the “Pasuljanske livade” training field which has been exclusively an artillery field since its establishment in 1805, while other branches of the army also used it. The officers of the fourth brigade ended their specialist studies in USA, Captain Miodrag Mladenovic finished a course for the artillery captain as the second best out of 72 students and was declared the best international student, while Captain Zeljko Orbovic was fifth wining “Dexter’s award”.

Colonel Mishel Van Mers of the CISM (Council Internacional du Sports Militaire) was secretary general of this illustrious council n the period 2006-2009. The cooperation of Serbia with CISM was really successful at that period especially thanks to the contribution of Colonel Van Mers. However, the cooperation did not cease with his leaving the post, and these days he was invited to be the guest at the Sports camps in Kopaonik, where our athletes are preparing for new home and international events.
