June conscripts take the pledge

The June generation of conscripts gave their pledge in training centers across Serbia in Sombor, Jakovo, Valjevo, Leskovac and Zajecar in the presence of their parents, relatives and SAF reps as well as the reps of the SPC.

In the fourth training center in Valjevo the SAF CHOD LTG Miletic congratulated the day to the youngest generation of conscripts.

The defense of our motherland has always been a sacred duty for us, our right and honor. We have had a high percentage of conscripts calling to duty in June, a significant interest in military profession, while the results of education in military schools also confirm our success.

- B taking this pledge, you, the youngest conscripts have ranked among the units of SAF. This is why you should take pride in this act today. this is an cat of honor. SAF will finish professionalization which means

that professional soldiers will carry out military duties. I believe that there will be a large number of you who will opt for the military profession as their career. I wish you to serve the military duty in peace, to be trained but never to be in a position to test the skills you will acquire.

The basic goal of the army is training and enabling commands and units for planning and execution of assigned missions and tasks.

- We are here to serve as a strong pillar of our society and government in protecting the territorial integrity of Serbia for the purpose of building and improving stability and security and to develop partnership and cooperation with international security organizations and institutions for the purpose of building a strong army. This entails realization of a number of tasks, predominantly the finalization of the transformation process and building the operational capabilities.
Our strategic goal is to have reformed army.
