Sutanovac meets with the Libyan Prime Minister



Minister of Defense Dragan Sutanovac met today with the Libyan Prime minister Ali Bagdadi Ali al-Mahmudi where during the talks he thanked the Prime Minister of Libya for a principled stance demonstrated regarding the Kosovo issue.

The minister said that Serbia would participate with its defense products in the international arms and military equipment fair which is to be held in Libya early November. He said that the delegations of both ministries would exchange visits in the weeks to come during which they would define their needs and possibilities.

Both sides agreed that the relations of Serbia and the Great Jamahiriya were based on long standing friendly bond and on good personal relations of the Leader of the Revolution Muamer el Gaddafi and President Boris Tadic. Once again prime Minister Mahmudi stressed the importance and the role of the Agreement on military-technical cooperation signed yesterday. He also pointed out that there was room for cooperation between the two countries and that there were no obstacles for Serbia in Libya.
Prime Minister Ali al-Mahmudi took this opportunity to point out that Serbia was Libya’s greatest partner in See ad that future contracts on constructing the Libyan infrastructure, such as railroads, electrical distribution grid, air ports and roads are reserved for Serbian companies with extensive experience in these regions.

In his words, Libya, besides constructing the military hospital, is especially interested in building the rehabilitation center with Serbian companies as main bearers.
