Third SAF championship ends

The third SAF championship ended yesterday at the Military Academy. The overall winner is the SAF army, which was presented with the prize by LTG Miloje Miletic. On presenting the cup he also congratulated other contestants.

The training command won the second place after four days of competing, while the MoD team came in third, and the air force team won the fourth place, while GS team came in fifth.

competition contestants competed in judo, where the MoD team was the best, the army team was second, and the training command team was third. The orienteering competition was in the Topcider forest, where the army team won the first prize, and the third was the GS team.

In his closing statement, LTG Miloje Miletic said that this has now become a traditional competition, where the contestants demonstrated supreme motivation to achieve the best results, where 400 contestants competed in seven disciplines.

„WE have had seven thousand competitors in four competition levels so I think that this has been a rather successful competition”, as General Mieltic said, stressing that these activities boost the physical capacities of our army while at the same time promoting sports in this institution.
SAF CHOD Miletic expressed his belief that this championship has achieved its goal, and that significant results were achieved too, as these athletes will represent serbia next year in home and foreign competitions.

He announced while congratulating the Military Academy on successful organization, that next year’s organizer would be the air force command.

MoD and SAF reps also attended the closing ceremony.
