New SAF Team in EU Training Mission in Central African Republic

A ceremony was held today at the Peacekeeping Operations Centre to send off a medical team from the Serbian Armed Forces to the European Union Training Mission in the Central African Republic (EUTM-RCA).
The ceremony was attended by Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff Gen. Milan Mojsilović and Deputy Head of EU Delegation to the Republic of Serbia Plamena Halacheva.

Our contingent, which will spend the next six months in the Central African Republic, comprises a staff officer who will serve as head of medical service and a six-member medical team that will be responsible for providing international personnel with preventive health care and outpatient treatment. They will replace SAF doctors and medical technicians who have been performing the same duties in the area of operations since October 2023.
The Serbian Armed Forces started contributing to EUTM-RCA in 2016, and currently SAF troops are engaged in three more EU missions in Africa.

By participating in UN and EU peacekeeping operations, the Serbian Armed Forces help build and safeguard world peace and play an active role in strengthening our country’s relationships with other countries.
