Igor Jovicic attended the IOM/PfP trust fund session



State Secretary for Human Resources Igor Jovicic attended the 13th IOM/NATO PfP Trust Fund steering committee session where the results achieved so far of the ProJECT FOR Assistance to Discharged Military personnel have been analyzed, while also setting the course in the fifth year of its implementation.

Stressing that this program has been evaluated as very successful in the previous sessions of the NATO/PfP Trust Fund donor countries and the IOM, the representative of Norway clearly set out the commitment of both organizations to continue with funding in the next year as well.

Expressing his satisfaction at seeing that the donor countries were ready to continue funding of the activities significant for the reform of the defense system in Serbia, Jovicic stated that the Retraining Project was designed as part of the reform activities in the defense system of Serbia.

We stumbled upon some obstacles at first, but now that we are slowly approaching the fifth year of the realization of the program, we can safely say that we, in the Ministry of defense, have done our best to make this the best project in the region. Our results are a good foundation for further projects, which is why we hail the decision of the Trust Fund to continue with the funding.

At the end of his address, State Secretary Jovicic thanked the chair of Trust Fund, and the outgoing DA of Norway in Belgrade Mr. Terje Havertadt, presenting him with the replica of the artillery saber on the SAF emblem.
The PfP Trust Fund with the leading donor country being Norway also includes Italy, Denmark, the Netherlands, Spain, Austria, UK, the Czech Republic, Luxemburg, Slovenia, Slovakia, Finland, Iceland, Poland, Bulgaria, Hungary, Ireland and Switzerland The fund has both an advisory role and also provides financial assistance to the defense system.
