63rd Parachute Brigade conducts training in diversionary action

In co-ordination with an AF and AD helicopter unit, the 63rd Parachute Brigade combat teams are conducting regular training in carrying out diversionary attacks on enemy formations.
The training aims to provide professional members with an opportunity to practice, and the young soldiers and officers with additional instruction. Another training objective is to maintain the unit’s combat readiness and ability to carry out assigned missions and tasks.
The Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, visited today the brigade members at the military airfield “Sergeant-Pilot Mihajlo Petrović” and in the greater Niš area, where they are temporarily stationed.
He attended the paratroopers’ vertical manoeuvre training, where they practiced using different techniques involving a rope, additional support or no additional support. Afterwards, he observed the training of parachute company teams who practiced offensive actions, including silent elimination, planting explosives and performing aeromedical evacuation.
After the tour, the Chief of the General Staff expressed his satisfaction with the situation, the skill demonstrated by the trainees, the organization of training, and the coordinated action with the Air Force units, confirming that the members of the 63rd Parachute Brigade can be rightly proud of their skills, approach to tasks, high morale and their unit as a whole.
