Increased MP presence in major cities
Based on the conclusions of the National Security Council meeting, the Serbian Armed Forces in co-ordination with the Ministry of the Interior and security services are undertaking precautionary measures and preventive actions to ensure the safety of the citizens, facilities and institutions of the Republic of Serbia.
There is also an increased presence of MP patrols in the squares, parks and streets of major cities, shopping malls, railway stations, the Belgrade Fair and other busy places.
The safety of citizens is a priority, and the Serbian Armed Forces are ready, in line with the Constitution, the law and decisions of the state leadership, to employ their troops and resources in co-ordination with other security forces to make sure that all citizens of the Republic of Serbia sleep peacefully.
