Members of 72nd Special Operations Brigade undergo winter training

Over the past two weeks, members of the 72nd Special Operations Brigade have been in training for carrying out missions in winter weather.
This is part of regular training activities carried out by the brigade with the aim of maintaining and improving the ability of professional members to carry out special operations, as well as the overall combat readiness of the unit.

The training was carried out in the mountains by day and night, and the soldiers mainly practiced tactics for carrying out reconnaissance, surprise raids, diversions, ambushes and intelligence gathering with the help of modern observation devices. In addition to tactical training, brigade members also practiced alpine skiing, since the mastery of skiing techniques is necessary for a successful execution of tasks in winter weather.
The training activity also included professional soldiers who were admitted to the unit in early August 2023 as part of Project 5000. They were included in the regular Special Forces training program following the successful completion of their six-month basic training.

Continuous training in different combat, terrain and weather conditions helps members of the 72nd Special Operations Brigade hone their skills and improve their physical fitness and mental strength, which is essential for a successful execution of complex tasks throughout an enemy’s tactical and operational depth.
