Chief of General Staff visits Žiča Monastery



Today, on Christmas day morning, the Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, visited the Žiča Monastery near Kraljevo, accompanied by a Serbian Armed Forces delegation.
  General Mojsilović attended the Christmas liturgy, and then had a conversation with the Mother Superior of the monastery, Most Reverend Mother Jelena and the nuns.
 
The Chief of the General Staff expressed his gratitude for the hospitality, saying that he felt honoured to have the opportunity to celebrate Christmas, the happiest Christian holiday, in the ancient monastery, where the first Serbian archbishop - Sava had been enthroned and numerous Serbian kings crowned. He wished good health to the nuns of the monastery. Their dedicated service and asceticism, he said, encourage us to continue to serve our homeland Serbia bravely and dedicatedly.
  General Mojsilović was accompanied on his visit to the Žiča Monastery by Air Force and Air Defence Commander Lieutenant General Duško Žarković, heads of the Logistics Directorate (J-4) and Human Resources Directorate (J-1) of the General Staff, Major General Srđan Petković and Brigadier General Savo Iriškić, as well as the Head of the Office of the Chief of the General Staff, Colonel Slađan Hristov.
